I have neglected this space. I miss it, but with the upcoming move I have been busy decluttering and organizing. I have a few things up for sale at the Etsy Shop.

You need a new travel makeup bag, like right now
At last I am back here on the blog to update that I added some things to my Etsy Shop, Pretty Little Fofinha. I will admit that when I bought my sewing machine I had no idea what I was doing. I bought it to teach myself how to sew and after many failed attempted at doing things I will say that sewing has become one of most favorite things to do, craft wise. I love how a simple piece of fabric can become a lovely creations in a few steps. It's amazing. I added some travel makeup bags since travel is on my mind a lot right now.
I also added two crochet dresses to the shop. Crocheting is nice, it takes a while to do so I have had to take a break on doing it since my wrists can't handle too much of that right now, but these are my absolute favorites.
We have also been really busy doing some major cleaning around the house to start planning our move to California. I have lived in my apartment for over 15 years and I am amazed at how much stuff I have collected over the years. We have an Ebay account and our link is here. If you want to check out some of the items we have up for auction I would appreciate it. Everything must go and a lot of kids stuff (clothes) is available. We have been updating everyday so be sure to check back often.
Here are some of the things we have up for auction:
Thanks for stopping by and checking here on my blog. I appreciate it and once I am back into the swing of things updates will be happening more frequently. Promise!

A Shop Update!
I may have mentioned it before, but if I have not, there are some big things going down this year. We are planning a move across the country. That has certainly stirred all kinds of emotions in me, but I will save that for a later post. Right now I just wanted to share that I have updated the shop with some new stuff which includes some scrapbooking goodies and some clutches/makeup bags that I created myself. I have to basically get rid of everything. So, come check it out here.
Here is a sample of whats available:
You may also notice that all items in the shop end in 49. It is the year my dad was born. I lost him to Lung Cancer when I was 15. It's an ode to him :)
Thanks for visiting and supporting me.
Hugs,
Susan

Pretty Little Fofinha had its FIRST SALE!!!
Yes, you heard that correctly and I can imagine that you can see me doing my very very happy dance! I checked my phone and looked at my emails and I noticed that it said something about Etsy and it had a dollar amount in the header. Being on a budget I told my husband that there must of been an error on my Etsy shop because I had not made any purchases, but when I opened the email it stated that I had A SALE!!!
It was very exciting. I can not truly express what it was like, but I was giddy like a little kid and I talked about it over and over again all week long. I hope that they loved them as much as I loved making them :) and I don't know if they will ever know how much it meant to me!
Cheers!

Spring is in the air...
If you live in the Northeast you may not believe that statement to be true. The calendar may say that it is spring, but I don't think that mother nature got the memo yet. Sure it will be almost 50 today and tomorrow, but by Sunday it will be back into the teens with a big winter storm brewing on the coast for the upcoming work week. It is crazy, but in my mind I have spring fever and as you will see, my Etsy shop shows signs of warm weather on the horizon. I have deactivated some of the winter stuff because, I mean really who is thinking about buying scarves right now and I will be adding some more stuff over the next coming weeks. Be on the lookout!

Pre-launch excitement
It is the eve our Pretty Little Fofihna's launch! I have a mix of emotions. I am excited and eager to get it done as I have been working on these items for quite some time. I have also built it up so much in my mind that I feel like it is the "birth" of a new adventure!
One thing that I underestimated was the "presentation" of the inventory. So, with my tripod, camera and stuff I began shooting. I took A LOT of pictures. Some were good, some were terrible and some were just too funny. I attempted to channel my inner Tyra Banks as I tried very hard to "sell the product"...I even tried to smize! So, I am certain that the photos will get better over time, but for now here are some of the samples that will be available in the shop tomorrow.
As a special for blog readers (if there are even any of you out there) you will get surprise valentine's gift with your order this weekend January 24-27. Simply add a comment about what your favorite 80's movie is during check out!

Putting words into action
One of my biggest faults is that I often dream of doing things and then I often think of how silly the idea is and I never follow through with it. Most of these dreams are related to creative endeavors. I always tend to think that things are not "good enough" and in the past I would never reveal to anyone what my ideas were, that was until my husband come into the picture.
My husband is the most loving and supportive person of allowing me to follow my dreams. We often sit on the couch together often a long day and I share with him my dreams and goals of what I would love to do with my future. Over the last year that included telling him that I did not want to go back to work because I wanted to be the one to raise our daughter and not a day care. He listened and we did the math and luckily we were able to make that dream a reality.
I feel like at this point I have the ability to do some things on the creative end that I was unable to do in the past. For example, I have always wanted to have an Etsy shop where I could sell some of the little things that I love to make. When I shared this dream with my husband, his response was..."I think that would be a great idea and if it doesn't work, at least you will know that you tried". I love him for that. So, with his blessing and with some motivation I have begun to build my little shop on the web.
It has been exciting and scary. I hate rejection and it does scare me the thought of no one liking or buying anything that I have, but I am having fun with the process. This week I worked on designing our logo and made some tags. I love trees and knew I wanted to incorporate then in the design somehow. I love how they look!
So, with that said the launch date is pushed back one more week in order to give me some time with taken super cool photos of the products that will be up for sale and as you know presentation is everything!!!

Esty Shop Launch Date is set....
I have been working hard on building an little inventory for the launch of our little esty shop called Pretty Little Fofinha. The name "Fofinha" is my daughter's nickname and in Portuguese it translates to "cute, little, squeezable, adorable, etc"... So as you can see the name was a perfect match for our shop. What will our shop sell you may be asking, well, it will have some crocheted items such as hats, scarfs (including infinity ones that are super hot right now) and other one of a kind cute hair accessories that your little girls will be sure to love! I am super excited about this and I hope that you all enjoy it as much as I do.
