You need a new travel makeup bag, like right now

At last I am back here on the blog to update that I added some things to my Etsy Shop, Pretty Little Fofinha. I will admit that when I bought my sewing machine I had no idea what I was doing. I bought it to teach myself how to sew and after many failed attempted at doing things I will say that sewing has become one of most favorite things to do, craft wise. I love how a simple piece of fabric can become a lovely creations in a few steps. It's amazing. I added some travel makeup bags since travel is on my mind a lot right now.
I also added two crochet dresses to the shop. Crocheting is nice, it takes a while to do so I have had to take a break on doing it since my wrists can't handle too much of that right now, but these are my absolute favorites.

We have also been really busy doing some major cleaning around the house to start planning our move to California. I have lived in my apartment for over 15 years and I am amazed at how much stuff I have collected over the years. We have an Ebay account and our link is here. If you want to check out some of the items we have up for auction I would appreciate it. Everything must go and a lot of kids stuff (clothes) is available. We have been updating everyday so be sure to check back often.
Here are some of the things we have up for auction:

Thanks for stopping by and checking here on my blog. I appreciate it and once I am back into the swing of things updates will be happening more frequently. Promise!

California Dreaming

Over the last year we have been talking about moving. Moving out of our tiny apartment and buying a house. It is something that we have been talking about for over two years now, but deciding where to buy our forever home is where we have had some great debates over. I am from New England, born and raised with a Boston accent to match. My husband is from Southern California, born and raised with laid back attitude to match. I am a crazy Boston sports fan, while he bleeds Laker purple and gold. I have been on the side of never wanting to move and to be so far away from not only some of the people that I love, but for the beauty of the East Coast. I mean, who really thinks Santa Claus is coming down a chimney in 80 degree weather. All the best Christmas movies are set in magical places where it snows. Halloween is made for ghostly goblins to run through huge piles of fallen leaves. And don't get me started on the rain. I love rain. How could I ever live without rain.

Then, I had my daughter. My thoughts on moving shifted, dramatically. I began to notice how close my husband is to his family and how much he missed sharing his daughter growing up with them. We Skype often, but it sure isn't the same. They have come out to visit, but then they leave and their is an emptiness left behind.

So we had a real discussion on moving and what that would entail. We talked about the obvious physical move and how that would work. We also talked about the emotional piece of what we would leave behind. It will be hard, but sometimes if we don't take chances in life we never really live. So, as Madonna would say, "I am ready to Jump".

We have a two year plan to move. I am hoping by next year. I'll be sharing our journey along the way.
If you have ever moved across country and can offer any advice please share with me what you think may help.
